THE LIVE HOG PRICE TODAY – 02/2022

(February 28, 2022) Live hog price today 28/2 has no new adjustment in provinces and cities across the country.

In the Northern region, the price of live hog today was at the same time stationary, fluctuating between 50,000 – 54,000 VND/kg. Specifically, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh, Tuyen Quang and Hanoi continue to be the leading localities in the region with a purchase level of 54,000 VND/kg. Following closely behind are Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Nam Dinh, Thai Binh, Ha Nam and Vinh Phuc when anchored at the mark of 53,000 VND/kg. In the central region and the Central Highlands, the purchase price of live hogs today ranges from 53,000 to 55,000 VND/kg. In which, the two provinces of Quang Binh and Binh Thuan witnessed the lowest price in the region at 53,000 VND/kg. Currently, the two provinces of Quang Nam and Lam Dong still maintain the leading position with the price of 55,000 VND/kg. Many remaining provinces continue to buy live pigs at 54,000 VND/kg.

In the southern region, the live pig market purchased today was flat compared to yesterday, fluctuating between 54,000 and 55,000 VND/kg. Binh Phuoc, Dong Nai, Ho Chi Minh City, Tay Ninh, Dong Thap, Vinh Long, Can Tho,… are currently anchored at the highest threshold in the region at 55,000 VND/kg. The lowest price in the region is 54,000 VND/kg, recorded in Binh Duong, Vung Tau, Long An, An Giang, Kien Giang, Hau Giang, Tra Vinh, Ben Tre and Soc Trang provinces.

(February 27, 2022) Live hog price today 27/2 fluctuates in the range of 50,000 – 55,000 VND/kg.

In the Northern region, the price of live hog today fluctuates between 50,000 – 54,000 VND/kg. The price of live pigs in the North decreased from 1,000 VND/kg to 5,000 VND/kg in many localities in the region. Accordingly, 5 provinces and cities including Hanoi, Hung Yen, Thai Nguyen, Ninh Binh and Tuyen Quang decreased by 1,000 – 3,000 VND/kg, currently trading at 54,000 VND/kg. (February 24, 2022) Live hog prices today 24/2 adjusted down in the Central, Central Highlands and the South.

In the Northern region, live hog prices were flat today, fluctuating between 53,000 and 55,000 VND/kg. In which, traders in Phu Tho and Ha Nam continued to trade with the lowest price in the region at 53,000 VND/kg. The remaining provinces are purchasing live pigs stably in the range of 54,000 – 55,000 VND/kg.

In the central region, the Central Highlands, the purchase price of live hogs today decreased from 1,000 VND/kg to 2,000 VND/kg, ranging from 54,000 to 56,000 VND/kg. Accordingly, after slightly lowering the price, Thanh Hoa and Quang Nam provinces together adjusted the transaction to 55,000 VND/kg. Similarly, Binh Dinh province reduced 2,000 VND/kg, currently purchasing live pigs at the lowest level of 54,000 VND/kg, on par with Quang Ngai and Quang Tri.

Bac Giang and Yen Bai decreased by 1,000 VND/kg to 55,000 VND/kg, along with Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc and Hanoi. Specifically, after slightly lowering a price, Thai Binh province adjusted the transaction to 55,000 VND/kg. Traders in Lao Cai, Nam Dinh, Phu Tho, Vinh Phuc and Hanoi all reduced 2,000 VND/kg to 53,000 – 55,000 VND/kg. Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Vinh Phuc and Hanoi are the 4 localities that buy the highest live pigs in the region at 57,000 VND/kg. 7 provinces including Bac Giang, Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Thai Binh, Ha Nam, Ninh Binh and Tuyen Quang are currently trading at 56,000 VND/kg. Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho continued to anchor at 55,000 VND/kg, the lowest in the region.

Specifically, after slightly lowering the price, traders in the provinces of Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Hung Yen, Nam Dinh, Thai Nguyen, Phu Tho, Thai Binh, Vinh Phuc and Tuyen Quang are currently trading in the range of 55,000 – 57,000 VND/kg. Specifically, Bac Giang province adjusted the transaction down to 56,000 VND/kg, on par with Yen Bai, Lao Cai, Thai Nguyen, Thai Binh, etc. The remaining provinces did not record any new changes in price.

(February 17, 2022) Live hog prices today, February 17, decreased scatteredly in a few localities.

In the North, the price of live hog today decreased sporadically compared to yesterday, fluctuating in the range of 56,000 – 57,000 VND/kg. In which, Phu Tho decreased by 1,000 VND/kg to a regional low of 55,000 VND/kg. Similarly, Thai Binh and Hung Yen respectively purchased live pigs at 56,000 VND/kg and 57,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg compared to yesterday. The remaining provinces did not see any new changes, maintaining transactions in the price range of 56,000 – 57,000 VND/kg.

In the Central region, Central Highlands, the purchase price of live hogs today is flat, ranging from 56,000 to 58,000 VND/kg. Dak Lak continues to be the leading locality in the region when anchored at 58,000 VND/kg. Many places continue to trade at 57,000 VND/kg, including Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Quang Nam, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong and Ninh Thuan. (February 16, 2022) Live hog price today 16/2 decreased from 1,000 VND/kg to 2,000 VND/kg in some provinces.

Accordingly, traders in Lao Cai and Thai Binh are purchasing live pigs for 56,000 VND/kg and 57,000 VND/kg respectively, a slight decrease of 1,000 VND/kg. Bac Giang, Nam Dinh, Vinh Phuc and Hanoi decreased by 1,000 – 2,000 VND/kg to 57,000 VND/kg. Traders in Tuyen Quang, Ha Nam and Yen Bai provinces are purchasing live pigs at 56,000 VND/kg, down 1,000 VND/kg and 2,000 VND/kg respectively. In the North, live hog price today increased slightly by 1,000 VND/kg, ranging from 56,000 to 59,000 VND/kg. Specifically, the two provinces of Yen Bai and Thai Binh adjusted the transaction to 58,000 VND/kg. The lowest price recorded in Thai Nguyen and Phu Tho is 56,000 VND/kg.
