{"id":1849,"date":"2017-02-10T09:57:20","date_gmt":"2017-02-10T02:57:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/apanano.com\/?p=1849"},"modified":"2023-02-24T17:13:37","modified_gmt":"2023-02-24T10:13:37","slug":"european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/apanano.com\/en\/news\/european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry\/","title":{"rendered":" European countries report avian flu cases in poultry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><em>New outbreaks of\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.wattagnet.com\/articles\/29622-avian-influenza-hits-italy-turkeys-egg-layers?v=preview\">highly pathogenic avian influenza<\/a>\u00a0(<strong>HPAI<\/strong>) in poultry have been reported in seven European states over the last week, and two countries \u2013 Portugal and the Former Yugoslavian Republic of Macedonia \u2013 have detected the virus in wild birds for the first time.<\/em><\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1854\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 700px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1854\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"700\" height=\"394\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_1.jpg 700w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_1-300x169.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_1-30x17.jpg 30w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_1-520x292.jpg 520w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_1-260x146.jpg 260w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 700px) 100vw, 700px\" \/><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">While the <strong>H5N8<\/strong> subtype of the <strong>HPAI<\/strong> virus has been detected in the vast majority of cases, other avian flu virus have been confirmed in France, Germany and Greece.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<h4><strong>France battles high and low-pathogenic avian flu viruses<\/strong><\/h4>\n<p>In terms of <strong>HPAI<\/strong>, France continues to be the European country hardest hit, particularly in the center for duck- and goose-rearing in the south-west. In those districts where the disease appears to be spreading out of control, pre-emptive culling has been ordered. According to the latest report by the veterinary authority to the\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.oie.int\/wahis_2\/public\/wahid.php\/Diseaseinformation\/WI\">World Organisation for Animal Health<\/a>\u00a0(<strong>OIE<\/strong>), eight of the 18 most recent outbreaks were the result of preventative culling of ducks and geese that subsequently tested positive for the <strong>H5N8<\/strong> virus. Clinical symptoms had been observed in poultry involved in the remaining 10 outbreaks, which included four chicken flocks. Almost 102,000 birds died or were destroyed as a result of these outbreaks.<\/p>\n<figure id=\"attachment_1852\" class=\"thumbnail wp-caption aligncenter\" style=\"width: 600px\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1852\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_2.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"383\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_2.jpg 600w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_2-300x192.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_2-30x19.jpg 30w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_2-80x50.jpg 80w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 600px) 100vw, 600px\" \/><figcaption class=\"caption wp-caption-text\">On February 2, the\u00a0French ministry of agriculture\u00a0stated that there had been 26 more outbreaks of HPAI caused by the H5N8 HPAI virus, bringing the total number of outbreaks since December 2016 to 198.<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<p>Avian Influenza outbreak recently reported in many countries in Africa, Europe and Asia, and even Americas. Without fast and strong actions, Avian Influenza may attack your birds and cause huge loss.<\/p>\n<p><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"size-full wp-image-1853 aligncenter\" src=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"660\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"\/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_3.jpg 660w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_3-300x182.jpg 300w, \/wp-content\/uploads\/20170210_european-countries-report-avian-flu-cases-in-poultry_3-30x18.jpg 30w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 660px) 100vw, 660px\" \/><\/p>\n<p>The only solutions for Avian Influenza are vaccination and bio security. Besides, good prevention program is highly recommended. First Avian Influenza vaccination should be at day 16<sup>th<\/sup>. To enhance immunity, and prevent stress caused by vaccination, should mix <strong><a href=\"http:\/\/apanano.com\/product\/apa-antistress-p\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener noreferrer\">APA Antistress P<\/a><\/strong> (which contains Vitamin C 50%, Acid citric 50%) with feed or dissolve in drinking water for poultry to drink all day long. Second vaccination should be at day 45<sup>th<\/sup>.
